To learn more about it and what makes it it, we recently reached out to its developers at Mundfish with some of our questions.

Promising a weird open world, a unique setting, flashy and bombastic combat, and more, Atomic Heart certainly seems to be offering something that’s not commonly found in other games. Revealed several years ago, the game impressed with its initial showings, and though several years of silence and development hurdles in the following years meant that the game somewhat receded into the background, it’s recently re-emerged.

Regardless, with more information about this game coming out so slowly, any new avenue to learn about it is appreciated.Ītomic Heart is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the fourth quarter of this year.Mundfish’s FPS action RPG Atomic Heart has been a game that people have had their eyes on for quite some time. The unofficial /r/atomicheart has existed for around a year now and when that happens its usually customary for the developers to simply post on the community-created subreddit instead. While it’s nice that Mundfish is taking the time to post on Reddit, we’re not entirely sure why they needed to create a new subreddit. It’s all a bit SCP Foundation in the way it’s written. The lore dump talks of a social rating system implemented in 1929, as well as some other smaller titbits about concepts like social thinking. The former «Notes of the Unknown» post comes with the last piece of concept art of a wooded area as well as some lore. The former is yet another piece of concept art (the second last image in the gallery below) but is also marked as a Q&A for Mundfish to answer later. The first image is a rather spiffy looking hallway, and the other two seem to be of some kind of indoor farm or lab.Īlso shared by /u/Kintarala are two other posts: “ Preparing” and “ «Notes of the Unknown»“.

To kick things off the dev, who uses the /u/Kintarala account, shared a trio of new screenshots you can see on this page. Recently the subreddit /r/AtomicHeartOfficial was created by the dev to act as, by way of that name, the official subreddit for the upcoming title that impressed so many with its initial trailer. The alternate history Soviet Union first person shooter (FPS) Atomic Heart has a new place for discussion and sharing on Reddit thanks to its developer Mundfish.
